About the event

Teen Science Café is a fun, relaxed evening designed just for 6th–12th graders to explore STEM in a social setting. Enjoy hands-on activities, interactive science learning, and a tacos🌮 while hanging out with friends and meeting new people who share your interests.

Our guest speaker, Dr. April Blakeslee from East Carolina University, and graduate students from her lab will share how they study ocean life and work to protect marine ecosystems🌊🐟. Her team researches biodiversity, parasite ecology, genetics, and how species sometimes move to new environments, changing ecosystems in surprising ways🧬🔬.

Whether you love science or just want to try something new, Teen Science Café is a great chance to ask questions, meet real scientists, and experience STEM in a fun, after-hours setting✨.
