We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating the environmental resources of this part of the state. We welcome visitors and locals alike to enjoy "down home" heritage at all of our environmental education centers. 

NEW FOR 2026!

This year, the NC Estuarium announced a new world-class project designed to educate and entertain generations of new visitors called the NC Estuarium Seafood School.

“The mission of the Seafood School is to inspire care for North Carolina’s natural estuarine ecosystems and celebrate the traditional watermen and

seafood cultures of the Inner Banks region."
